Gratitude: Those Willing To Teach
Today I would like to recognize those who go out of their way for others. This world is in desperate need of human connection. We value those who value us. We love to listen and learn. We care about what others have accomplished and we’re curious to find our own way.
This world is lucky. Every now and then you can find a sensational mentor–someone who will guide you through life’s mysteries and someone who will be willing to show you the ropes.
I’m grateful for my teachers in school. Every single one of them has expanded my mind–some more than others, but expanded nonetheless.
I’m thankful for my family. They have proven time and time again that they respect my aspirations and want to aid me in every way possible until I reach my end goal.
I feel lucky to have had the jobs that I’ve had so far in my life. Each employer has taught me something new. They’ve gone out of their way to make sure that I understand my expectations and how I can improve for the future.
I’m blessed to have had the friends I’ve had. Each one carries a unique trait or talent that I admire dearly. And every single one has stopped to have a conversation with me about it–taking the time to explain a passion or experience in depth.
How remarkable are those mentors in your life, young or old, that take the time to really explain something to you? They leave you a little smarter. A little more aware. And a little more exposed to the world.
To all of you who have taught me something in my lifetime–thank you. You’ve impacted me.
