7 Things To Do Before Graduation

March 17, 2019

Happy Spring Break! I can’t believe the school year is already ¾ done! The past three and a half years in college have been really fun, and they really aren’t kidding when they say it goes by fast.

In preparation for graduation in May, I’ve compiled a list of 7 things you should do before graduation. All of these activities work whether you’re graduating from high school or college:

1. Try a new local restaurant…. Or five… or six.

By yourself or with your pals – this is an all-time favorite activity of mine. There are so many local places that have unique menus to try.

Here are my STL recommendations:

Seoul Taco

Basil Spice

Retreat Gastropub

Poke Doke

2. Take a weekend trip with your besties.

Treat yourself to a weekend getaway with your favorite people 🙂 Sometimes a little R&R is all we need to jumpstart our week! Don’t wanna completely getaway? Opt for a staycation and explore some local hidden gems!

3. Visit your local museums.

Visiting a museum can be really refreshing. I personally find that I always leave with a new perspective and a better mood. Find a local museum that you haven’t been to, or haven’t been to in a while, and see what’s new!

4. Visit at least two local gems.

It’s crazy how we can spend years in a city and never really explore the hidden gems it has to offer! Reach out to some local friends and see if they have any secret places they love to visit and set aside some time to check them out for yourself!
Here is a STL recommendation:

The graffiti wall along the river near the arch in Soulard area 🙂 Great for pictures and always a fun time!

 5. Recreate your favorite day from the past 4 years.

We all have a day that we look back fondly on — take a day to recreate your favorite day with your favorite people. What better way to reminisce than hitting your favorite activities before graduation?

6. Treat Yo’self.

I’m a huge fan of ‘treat yo’self.’ It’s so easy to get caught up in life and the stress it brings. Splurge on that one thing you’ve been contemplating for months. Book a massage, facial and mani/pedi. Do a face mask before bed a few times a week. Take yourself to dinner. Do what you need to do — you deserve it.

7. Get your grad invites!!

Graduation is just around the corner, which means it’s almost celebration time 🙂 I’ve been loving the designs by Basic Invite this year!

Here’s what caught my eye:

Almost Unlimited Colors – I love playing around with designs and seeing how I can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options to ensure the card is exactly how I want it down to the littlest detail.

Custom Samples – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order.

Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes – You can choose from over 40 different colors when it comes to envelopes so that you can make your invitation stand out even before it is opened. All of their envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be quickly and securely closed. Say good-bye to licking gross envelopes!

Address Capturing Service – You can share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request your friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in your account and can then be selected during the design process. Basic Invite offers recipient address printing at no cost on all card orders! Sounds easy enough to me 🙂

Foil – This is a personal fave! Foil cards are available in gold, silver, and rose gold. You can also choose flat or raised foil on all of their foil designs.
